Our brewing journey started with a unique opportunity to transform a forgotten space within the historic walls of Southsea Castle, built by Henry VIII in 1544.

Tucked away in an old ammunition storage room, we fitted a 300-litre brew kit and carved out a cozy space for visitors to discover and purchase our beers. Brewing history, one pint at a time!

It didn’t take long for our passion and dedication to outgrow the walls of our original home at Southsea Castle. With our 300-litre brew kit pushed to its limits, we knew it was time to expand. The search began for a larger space that could keep up with the growing demand for our craft beers while allowing us to explore new styles and innovations. Our journey to find the perfect brewing home was just another step in our story of growth and creativity.

A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS

In 2023, we found the perfect spot just two miles from the castle and less than a mile from our micropub. Work quickly began on equipping it with a brand-new brewhouse and fermenters, more than doubling the capacity of our original kit. This move marked an exciting new chapter in our journey, allowing us to brew even more of the beers you love.

Dave brings passion and precision as Head Brewer, while Lorna leads with warmth and expertise in hospitality.
